Lisa Shortall Receives Heritage Council Funding for Workshop on Trauma-Informed Archival Practice.

Lisa Shortall has secured funding under the Heritage Council’s Stewardship Fund for a pilot project to support archivists managing archives with sensitive or distressing content. The funding will go towards the development of a network of archivists working with such materials, who may have shared concerns and experiences. The funding will also allow for a specially commissioned online workshop in implementing trauma-informed archival practice, delivered by the Australian Society of Archivists and offered to archivists representing the religious, government, and local authority archives sectors throughout Ireland. This online workshop will take place on 26 May 2023.
